Also, does anyone have an idea for miners at the tryouts for U9. Will UFA really have 6 U9 teams? 😃

I know many a times, many including myself have alluded to always being cognizant of who the coach is going to be because it matters. Well, in this case I will highly suggest you not look to JJ being at UFA next year and instead ensure you have a plan B(hint, hint).

There is currently a pool 1 for U8 that plays other clubs. There are a lot of 2010 boys in U8 Future Academy. There will be kids from U8 rec this year who will also try out. I would be shocked if there are less than 3 pools (6 teams) for the 2010 boys. Most of the times bigger clubs have a lot of teams at this age group. Remember they are playing 7v7.

Its usually a safe bet for UFA to have a quality coach with their top u9 pool. How is UFA Norcross's younger player pool looking these days? Thin?

Actually they have quite a few boys at the current U9 age pool and a U8(futures) team. The U9 pool at Norcross I believe has a Premier and Red team, with an over abundance of boys on each(11), so that will make for a large pool to pick a U10 team or two next month at tryouts. Coach Tom does a great job of teaching the fundamentals and tactics of the game. I sometimes wish he would teach winning more but I can't fault him for wanting the boys to learn good footy skills. As a side-note I believe 2/3 of the boys were picked for the AU Youth Development Program.

His English is not fantastic but he's a quality coach. My kid played under him one summer for Super Y, and Raul taught him a lot, and was a fair and respectful guy.

No to CF and no to another age group at UFA. New gig comes with potential at a stake in ownership. I have not been able to independently verify or get a second confirmation so I can't offer more at this time. Sorry
