So the State Cup seeds were announced last night for all teams. There are a few Play in Games the week prior to the Round Robin Weekend followed by a 3rd weekend for the Final Four.
Anyone who has been through the Round Robin leading to the Final Four, can you give insight on how the Round Robin will be played. For example, an age group that has 12 teams playing in the Round robin, how many games would you expect each time to play during the Round Robin weekend to determine the Final Four. DO they place teams in mini brackets to advance to the final 4 or do they have one large pool play and the best point totals after the weekend games advance?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, it's usually 3 games--one each on Sat., Sun., and Mon.

It is usually like pool play. My guess with 12 teams is 3 groups of 4. Winner of each group plus one wild card moves on. Usually there are 16 teams and you just have to win your group to move on.

Then Round Robin is 3 games (Sat, Sun & Mon) Final Four advance to the next Sat, and then top two play on Sunday If there are 12 teams, there is no play in game for that group. The 12 teams will be divided into 3 groups Group A: 1,6,7,12 Group B: 2,5,8,11 Group C: 3,4,9,10 Semis: Winner A v Wildcard Winner B v Winner C Final: Winner A/Wildcard v Winner B/C

State Cup rules here www.georgiastatecup.com/TTCheckList.aspx?tid=STATEGA&tab=4&sub=0&Page=216 teams would be winners of each of the 4 groups. If you go by soccermom example above Group A 1, 5, 9, 13 Group B 2, 6, 10, 14 Group C 3, 7, 11, 15 Group D 4, 8, 12, 16

Thanks for the correction @jumpjumpkeep311 . I wasn't sure if it would be 1 and 16 seed and so on or not and couldn't find it in the State Cup documents!

I’m still giddy from winning my March Madness bracket and those seedings. Hmm wouldn’t it be fun if they abandoned the group play and just played the seedings bracket like the Tournament? Give a real incentive to that 16 seed to knock off number 1!!
