Just curious as I am unclear what GA Soccer does except for providing licenses courses and referee certifications. Then there is ODP and they are the governing body for the leagues for Classic and Athena. I guess they also do Recreational and Academy. What services are they providing players? Who are they paying to provide these services?
Here is “About GA Soccer”

About Georgia Soccer
Georgia Soccer is the authorized state youth and adult association for Georgia within the United States Adult Soccer Association, United States Youth Soccer Association, and through them is part of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). Also, Georgia Soccer serves as the official National State Association of USSF making it responsible to act on behalf of USSF and provide licensing courses for coaches and certification courses for referees.
In turn, the United States Soccer Federation is the recognized national soccer association within the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA), the worldwide governing body for soccer. Essentially, we serve affiliated member organizations throughout Georgia in both program and administrative support activities.

Ga Soccer is a money grab. Just look at the massive overpriced 50 Year Anniversary party they are planning. It’s up there in DOC yearly salary ranges!

I take it that you don’t want to vote for Georgia Soccer Top 50 in 50 Nominees? 😂 I wonder if they will ban the Big 5 club coaches from making the list? 😜😂😃

Ga Soccer is a money grab. Just look at the massive overpriced 50 Year Anniversary party they are planning. It’s up there in DOC yearly salary ranges! Money grab for who exactly? I always wrote my checks to the club. And a DOC's salary isn't up to Georgia Soccer - that's each individual club. I assume you are referring to what clubs pay into GA Soccer? I have no insight into that. I'm neutral here - just have never understood the animosity toward GA Soccer or RPL. The most common 'mis-management' complaints have always been around cancelling games due to weather - waiting too long to cancel those games and the complete PITA to reschedule games. I'm pretty sure the new Champions League can't control the weather - maybe they will be better at managing time and communications? I can vouch from years of experience with ODP that no, that program wasn't always the most organized or well run - but much of that was done by unpaid volunteers at the state and age group level. There was a great state ODP coordinator for years but once she stepped down, it was a bit of a cluster. But I've seen local PTA's and HOA's run much much worse - maybe it was the same people?

I’m trying to figure out too but seems like Big 5 are the biggest Money contributors and all seem to believe they can do something better. US Club Soccer certainly thinks they can do better.. So far I believe that GA Soccer has 13 Employees and 100 volunteers (probably club coaches). They are running a non profit org and the IRS 990 form is on the site. I’m not discounting any of the employees but $3.5 + Million is a lot of money for running a league. This is what clubs are looking at. Fees are paid to clubs then they have to pay to GA Soccer for registration. Not sure how the tournament fees get handled? We had to pay separate for ODP so that’s not from the club. You can check stuff out, it’s not like they are hiding anything. www.georgiasoccer.org/about/about_georgia_soccer/
