So now all of a sudden u13/u14 are a combined team? HHMMM??? That's new. I am not sure That is true. Both Tophat and Concorde had U13 girls playing with the U14 DA in 2017-2018. I think it is just to encourage 06 girls that are qualified to tryout . Still questioning the U13/14 GDA Was under impression GDA was a single age group at U14 only (unless USSDA has changed and not informed the general public) and also under impression no play-ups in GDA? This GDA/ECNL girls U13/U14 years are so confusing until any decisions are or are not finalized with which 3 do or dont have DA which 2 do or dont have both GDA and ECNL if anyone is all inECNL and how AFU with ECNL and not part of big 5 SCCL and GSA with ECNL and yes they are part of big 5. Just speculation and indecision ... Welcome to May Madness!

So I SPECULATE some clubs will roster some 06 players on the 05 GDA team.

The no play ups is not accurate. There is a single u15 age group. I do not BELIEVE that they will do combined u13/14 then do single U15. That makes no sense. I think it is just what I said...to let them know that 06 superstars are welcome to tryout

Concorde has listed tryout times for ECNL and DA. On top of that, it looks like there will be u13 boys ECNL. It looks like no decision was needed.

Yes that’s been posted for a few weeks now on their site. I don’t have facts that they are choosing but I know that ECNL is persuading CF to drop DA to be exclusive. See the trend, US Club Soccer is pushing all clubs to drop DA. There are - 79 “All MemberClubs”. www.dropbox.com/s/xt8ug9rijn07ynv/Girls%20ECNL%20All%20In%2018-19.pdf?dl=0

These were updated today. But I guess we'll know for sure when the registration links are live.

I would think they are keeping both at this point as like you said they are advertising boys and girls for both ECNL and DA. Sorry to post on other people’s speculation as I have been anxiously waiting like all of us to see what happens with SCCL, DA and ECNL. We already know about the new NL so “Where’s the beef!” 😃

if you go back and look at my posts when I posted as BigDawg..............I was saying last fall that CF is losing ECNL..............no one believed me. Now, everyone is talking about it. I'm going to say it again: CF/TH will decide between DA/ECNL.
They will NOT be allowed to keep both.
UFA DA/GSA ECNL/AFU ECNL will be winners in this .

NTH and CF will keep both in 2018-19 and then maybe choose before the 2019-20 season.

It’s a little late, in my opinion. Unless ECNL is content with 2 GA teams next season. I’ll virtually bowdown if what you say comes true though

People are trying to make informed decisions for the next season. 19/20 is so far away. Maybe these 2 clubs will see the threat and be smarter on how teams are setup. Who knows

They won't have a choice. They are ordered to decide between ECNL and DA.............

I heard Eclipse made their decision public tonight. Two ECNL teams per age group, dropped GDA. It was suggested at the meeting there may be other clubs jumping, but they were careful to not give any clues as to what clubs may be still considering.

Still no solid info as to the 'why' CF needs to choose one? Seems like both are going ok, why not let it breathe for a couple of seasons? It's all hearsay and conjecture on a national level. When the ECNL / DA moves turned into a pissing contest on a grand scale there were lots of hurt feelings. The posturing and confusion in the market for our kids / money is from the top all the way down to the clubs right our own back yard. There is subtle and not so subtle (ALL IN) pressure form the the heads of both organizations that they are the right path to high level soccer in the US. Or as my dad would say from time to time,"The fish stinks from the head back."

Correct also. We are a couple years away from ECNL clubs fielding 2 ecnl teams per age group at all ages. Composite teams........I was right in November about the new league coming (SCCL), I was right about clubs having to choose between DA and ECNL. And I will be right about 2 ecnl teams per age group

And I will be right about 2 ecnl teams per age group 2 teams per age group? A and B divisions? Given the current war between USSF, USYS, and US Club, this seems prime for US Club Soccer jump on the opportunity to draw more clubs in and have ECNL be a top division and NPL be a 2nd division with promotion/relegation between. Maybe even these new Premier Leagues or Champions Leagues would be a 3rd division. They already have a large network of clubs that have one or more of these leagues. That way ECNL will be able to claim the strongest TEAMS are playing and not just CLUBS that were awarded it. Better for scouts, better for competition, gives teams a pathway to earn something...

I find it far more likely that ECNL would allow for a second division, rather than allow each club two ECNL teams. though some of the top/larger clubs, as we have seen these last few weeks could have multiple slots. I can't see that being the case for everyone. As for promotion and relegation from NPL and other Premier/Champions leagues I am not sure. Part of the attraction to ECNL for clubs is the organization and knowledge that each of your teams will be playing in the same locations, which makes it easy for coaches and clubs logistically. That was a huge sell for ECNL over RPL in the beginning I believe. If an individual team are promoted and relegated don't we lose that? I by no means saying it is a bad idea, but can not see it shifting to a full promotion-relegation system. I do think if a second flight is added, obviously, you can add additional clubs to the ECNL structure, and potentially allow a limited number of spots in each age group for top NPL teams to be promoted on a yearly basis to an ECNL league.
