I have not seen anything related to Georgia Soccer's new ruling regarding ODP yet. Does anyone know if those clubs that participate in non sanctioned leagues or individual players that participate in non sanctioned leagues will still be able to play ODP and be considered for region pool?
Yes I already know that DA players cannot play ODP. And yes I realize there is significant drop off as players get older. Not here to debate the ODP program. But current ODP players are being asked to spend $800 for region camps this summer. If they will not be able to participate next year, it's certainly not worth that money. It would be downright criminal to not know that going into it.

They won’t be Georgia Soccer players so it would seem rational to assume they can’t participate in ODP. But US Club has their own version of ODP so I am sure they can play in that system.

With all honesty do players who attend camp at UGA, Clemson or Auburn expect to be recruited by those schools or because it is a good camp where they will learn a lot(i.e. a good value?) I bring that perspective because it may be something to consider if players who are DA the following year (or a non-sanctioned league player depending on someone's answer to your question above) and aren't attending with the hopes of being chosen to the region team. Is it worth the $200 more than other camps for the added value of the higher level training and competition? I am just saying your question may be moot because the instruction and level of competition alone may be enough to spend the money. Everything I have read about on these threads says it is. I would love to hear from people who have sent their kids as far as if it's worth the price tag.
