Stinks for UFA being out of town - is that why they weren’t invited

From what I was told, they were invited. But I guess the fact that they are on the road this weekend coupled with the fact that UFA had or has an ID camp of their own, may have been factors in UFA not being able to attend. Great turnout, horrendous parking issues, lots of big time college coaches.

Watched a few minutes of as many games as I could. I believe they were 35 minute halves. The Training Grounds had the first team, regular DA games and the college ID showcase. So I kept moving around. I do know from the multiple games involving KSA they came to play and they are ballers and are hungry. Was fun to see AU staff "watching" the games as well, with notebooks of their own mind you

Games were 40 minutes w/no halftime break. As one might expect, all eyes were on the show field where the older boys were playing.

Curious - how did they come up with that list of clubs?

Anyone know what age groups from the other clubs were there? All three agegroups as well.
Since when does AU and Concorde get along?

Yes, AU 2002s played KSA on Saturday and the AU 2001s played KSA on Sunday. Watched a little of the Saturday game and KSA was winning when I left. The former AU player, now with KSA was the draw and the star based on his on field performance(man amongst boys). Couldn't watch on Sunday so not sure of results.

KSA's physical play overpowers and dominates. Even against top athletes at Atlanta United.

Bruno hits the pavement and gets at it. Plus the inroads he has made and the trust he has cultivated within the refugee community is amazing and very worthwhile.

Was the KSA vs. AU 2002 score really 3-0 for KSA? I heard it was 3-0 after about the first 10 minutes. DV scored them all then was taken out of the game.

Love it. I bet that AU will try and acquire some of KSA's players. Interesting thing about KSA is whether those players/families would jump at the AU carrot.

Since TA arrived he's been recruiting KSA players. There are several already playing for AU including DV who went back to KSA after the fall season. Unfortunately, a couple have returned to KSA because they felt like they were just a number. Not sure if BK will continue to work with TA bringing players over since it hasn't been a great experience for many. The realities of top level soccer are harsh and not everyone can survive the gauntlet.

Wonder if our realities in the U.S. top level soccer are harsh, to the point where possibly a better team is outside the DA system. I go back to that article shared about DA recently - basically, if you take the joy away, players are affected.
