I watched the tail end of a u13 boys match today and Concorde central brought in a number of DA players to stack their roster. It’s a shame that teams do this to get an edge up during the tourney. Illegal, no. Morality, questionable. Sportsmanship, very poor. I have to say it’s sad but not surprising, that such a well known club and coach will lower themselves to this level.
I know it’s been going on for a long time but I believe it’s long overdue that GA Soccer steps in to add a rule regarding roster continuity with the qualifying season. And just to point out, I have no players on either of the teams playing this morning.

Are you sure you weren’t watching their match today against UFA? They had a DA match at 11 at Fowler.

Mods please remove this thread. It is absolutely FALSE!!! CF DA played UFA DA at Fowler today. U13s, an 11am kick. And, um, no one was unaccounted for on the CF sideline. If new faces were seen at a State Cup game they came from somewhere else or were one of two DPs on the U13 DA roster who are not remotely part of the team.

I think it is better to leave the thread here so we know who has credibility and who does not. But we can alter the title to properly reflect the true state of affairs if necessary.

I was there and saw it with my own eyes- totally different players than they had during the season. Different jerseys as well. Can’t remember all of the numbers but I do remember a very large #10- had an AT&T logo on the front. Maybe they were players from the u14 team?
Again, I have no kids on either team but our team has played them 3 times over the last 9 months. Different players, different team. If they didn’t come from the u13 dA team, which is what I was told on the field, they came from somewhere else. The point is roster continuity and to make the team that earned the place in the tourney play in the tourney. Low class move from RM today

DA players can not play in other leagues. I was there. This is ticking me off! Needs to be removed or you are culpable and no better than the other forum.

No, the point is you’re spreading bs. #10 is an ECNL U14 2005 play up that DP’d for 5 minutes once this year at DA U13. Don’t know who the other kids are and don’t care, frankly. But don’t start talking out of your ass about the DA program. No DA player would ever, EVER do that.

Quit DA before state cup, get your USYS players pass, play SC, try out again for DA- simple. As a matter of fact I’ve witnessed other Concorde and AU U13 DA players play in two other leagues- liga de Lawrenceville(Latin league out of Gwinnett and winter indoor in Fulton county. These were probably not known by the staff but to say DA players don’t play in other leagues is very naive

No DA player gives a sh*t about 4th tier SC! Certainly nobody quits for it! Lol! I’m sure that happens in the SC landscape with the other alphabet leagues, but not DA. They wouldn’t risk it for meaningless SC!

They wouldn’t risk it for meaningless SC! Players no- club leaders/coaches yes. Easy way to recruit for a- what did you call it? Oh, yeah 4th level team. I’m sure Concorde uses that terminology in a couple weeks for tryouts. 13 year old Kids that love the game will play whenever they get a chance- especially when someone gives them an opportunity- again if anyone actually believes that DA players don’t play in other leagues or sports they need to wake up

I’m all for winning as much as the next guy but why replace/supplement the kids who got you there in the first place? Take who you played with all year and if you win great, if not then so be it.

I also think it’s BS to use different players in SC! Just know what you’re talking about when you make accusations.

Valium guys! It's only youth soccer and players go on and off young DA teams all the time. Some even drop down to ECNL or NPL.

Watched friends kid play SC couple years ago vs same club. Told on sideline 3 DA players brought. Incidentally the team with the extra added players lost.

Everyone calm down, I can't say whether CF brought DA players to that game or not. BUT this is not a new issue, it happens every year. Boys quit DA and play SC and then rejoin DA, its not a big secret.
Ga Soccer has never enforced roster continuity, thats why clubs bring DA and ECNL players every year.

There are literally photos of each DA player on the US DA website that anyone can access. There will also be a game report that will be posted for today’s Concorde DA game that will tell you who was there. There’s no reason to speculate or spread rumors on something like this.

Original poster: what time and field did you see this ?
I know that Fowler Park was hosting many State Cup games, and at least 1 DA game at the same time.
The DA game was Concorde Fire 2004 DA vs UFA 2004 DA . This was on the #1 field and was just finishing when we arrived at 2:15.
Any chance you were confused?

The DA game report is posted. Only 2 Concorde 2005 DA FT players were not rostered for the 11:00 am game at Fowler. Neither one is listed on the state cup roster. It’s easy to check things out before spreading lies.
