Don't take this the wrong way -- The parks are incredible!
Matt Park, Central Park and Lanierland are great places and amazing the county has the foresight to build these facilities.
Question though, all these parks are extremely similar and have a ton of space. There is so much land around these parks -- Were soccer "people" consulted before building the fields, if the fields were just 10-15 yards wider, you could be talking about a premier location for soccer. 3 parks in relative proximity to one another, all with 3 to 4 fields.

Not sure of the answer but definitely needed more parking at Lanierland. Iggy did a great job trying to provide concessions this weekend. He looked very proud!!

I hate the concrete strip bordering the fields at Central Park. They’re too close to the field. One hard tackle was made at state cup right at the sideline (the play resulted in a yellow), and the girl landed on this concrete strip. Made a bad tackle turn into a bad injury.

I took some pictures almost a year ago to identify safety concerns and other issues with Lanierland that I wanted to bring to the county's attention. I agree the parks are very beautiful but here would be my list of improvements needed or things to consider for the next park: (1) Football goal posts further back and not in the center of the goal (State Cup was lucky, the padding around the posts wasn't there several months ago) (2) The high black net to catch balls needs to be flush with the metal black fence otherwise the ball gets caught between the two fences and someone has to run out the side and around the fence to get it or jump the fence. (3) The entry gate handles at the end of the fields need to be replaced as the pencil sized metal handle faces into the field. Although the chances are slim, I would hate to have my kid run into the fence and impale themselves on this... (4) More space between the edge of the field and the black metal fence (Lanierland is better than the fenced Norcross fields) (5) The parks need flat grass practice areas for warm ups (but lets be honest most parks in this state lack a proper warm up area) (6) More parking.

I take my daugher there to train a fair bit.. it's REALLY annoying to constantly have to hop the fence. Also, some fields have VERY little sideline. We had a tournament game at Midway, and there's like 3' between the touch line and the fence.
