SoccerMom, in your opinion why are they still looking for players? I would have thought there would be a ton of girls interested and/or capable of playing at that level. Is it because of the age group (older girls already have the play in college or not play in college thing figured out by the time they're 17/18)?

01 girls were scarce all around at UFA. I Personally not having Premier team with NPL hurt them and why we left. Only 13 girls in Wednesday night. Most went to Milton, and some are quitting playing all together. I think you are right if you want I’m okay in college, those are the girls still playing.

Thats nuts --- the 00/01 girls used to have huge huge numbers at UFA. So odd.

I believe most players in the 2000/2001 would be the U18/U19 age group and I'm guessing and hoping they already have college verbals or commitments sewed up. Now they can focus on doing fun less stressful things.

Thats kind of funny, and shows ya a big problem --
Should be the opposite, the reality is if your going to play college, the hardwork is really just beginning vs the opposite. Its time to turn it up and notch and crank things up -- instead, we all including myself, are like, wow, now lets take a break for a year.
Nope -- its time to work harder, hit the gym at 6:00 am, hit the weight room, get on rigid cardio schedule, increases touches every day, work harder and harder. play pick up games 2 or 3 times a week. Thats how the best athletes in the world compete.
These statements are intended just to be directed to girls, but also boys. Their journey is really about to begin again, and you better be prepared.

At least on the boys side, I've heard college coaches tell kids to stay at DA level at possible for their senior year so they can hit the ground running when they get to college.

I agree, you would think if you are prepping for college play you would want to be playing at the higher level of play. And your college coaches would want you to do the same, correct? So what are these girls doing in their senior year after committing to play in college? Just playing HS ball or at a lower level league? Doesn't make sense.
