With New SCCL, 1 less DA club on girl's side, an extended now full season NPL league, 5 clubs being banned from NL and all the new alliances it seems that teams will be scrambling to apply and be ready for the new season. The landscape off all these leagues will take a year or two to balance out competition. I see a few teams dominating the leagues until this levels out.

I'm afraid the current structure (new Fall 2018 structure) won't level out for some time, and although it may be better understood by parents in 2 or 3 years, the landscape will likely change as new leagues and other club moves will be made - - if history is any guide.

Yea, I expect this to continue to morph into something else.... Clubs might join into the NPL/SCCL thing, ECNL might expand along with DA additions or subtractions -- the landscape will continue to change and be dynamic from year to year.
Looking at state cup from this year, it looks like every age group will be effected -- only the 03 and 04 boys and u16 girls final didn't include a SCCL/NPL club (might have missed one or 2).
Overall the impact is huge, makes state cup less competitive during the group stage even if some of these teams won't win state cup, they can make a team play a tough game over a 3 day stretch.

They should still have a state cup with Georgia teams from all leagues. It'll shut up all of us parents at least!
