coach. How do I go about getting released before the season starts? Now rumors about coaches leaving, been through how many girls directors. Note to parents the grass is not always greener even if they have turf.

when the best players left for AFC I should of known something was up Put on your walking shoes and get walking to another club. You have barely accepted and you can't even get a courtesy get lost response. Imagine when you have a legitimate issue. Not looking good. I would make alternate plans like yesterday. Good luck.

I know a lot of clubs don't post coaches, but surely everyone knows who the coaches will be once they show up to tryouts right? Do other parents really sign and commit to a club and team without seeing the team and knowing who will be coaching it?

Once you have officially accepted a position and completed the proper paperwork and it's submitted to GA Soccer, the only clear way to walk away is to fulfill the financial obligation. Only then, they are required to release your kid.
Can be a painful process. I had to contact the Head Director of the Club 4x, and eventually sent an email to him and the president of GA Soccer before it was completed, and this is after being with the club for 6 1/2 years.

As a reminder, there is a difference between beibg released and being allowed to transfer. Just because they release you doesnt mean they have to sign a transfer. Georgia Soccer will not get involved unless there is some action by the coach that is blatantly unethical. I've been through this so have first hand experience.
