So he took the money as a revenge for being fired?

That's a shame. It'll be sadder when that property is eventually sold to build a couple mansions.

Sad but not surprising. Especially sad for the family and the kids of that family. The finances at Rush have been suspect for years. Anyone who has ever been around the program was either suspicious themselves or heard rumors of a lot of odd things that have occurred over the years.
The only place to build on that property is the back right portion that abuts Triple Crown. Most of that property is in a flood plain.
Bigger question is which club takes over once Rush finally folds. The board is not very interested in listening to its members or community The program is shrinking and with the newer options available locally the problems for this club are only getting worse.

This is a pretty strange story. Go withdraw funds after you are fired? ‘Cause nobody will suspect the one who JUST GOT FIRED. Maybe you feel the change is unmerited. Maybe you were actually done wrong. Saying that-man, what a stupid thing to do. I wonder if it was done out of emotion, like “I’ll show them.” Or I wonder if there was something more insidious going on. Regardless, it was not very smart at all.
