Middle next month? I'm most curious about which teams are in 2006 girls groupings and how the N-E-S-W is going to shake out.

Middle next month? I'm most curious about which teams are in 2006 girls groupings and how the N-E-S-W is going to shake out. Groupings will come out first. Schedules are usually not until a week or two before games start. What is N-E-S-W? I had heard that Athena was going to drop the B-C-D groups in favor of an North-East-South-West level B where there would be (potentially) less travel involved. This being a GA Soccer reaction to SCCL and the issues with travel between N/S Georgia. But this may have changed...

This being a GA Soccer reaction to SCCL and the issues with travel between N/S Georgia. But this may have changed... That would be interesting. But I think it would lead to some lopsided games if you group teams by anything other than competitive level. Not having to drive as far is cool. But if you're winning or losing every game by 5 or 6 goals, the benefits kind of evaporate. Not to mention, there goes promotion/relegation...we are constantly arguing how important it is and then Georgia Soccer wants to get rid of it? Besides they already do group by area for C and D level teams, but they keep the levels.

Yeah, I have no idea how it would work, perhaps more aggressive relegation from the A level (8 teams)? Maybe it was a pipe dream on their part. I personally don't care for the East/West they do now at C/III, it makes for less movement.
IMO There should be 12 teams per group, with 4 promoted and 4 relegated per season. Except for A and NL, there should be 2 relegated from NL and 2 promoted from A per season (but still 4 relegated from A).
