Congrats to the Georgia Girl's teams for making the National Tier of the National League: 14 Girls: LSA 05 GOLD U15 Girls: Georgia Rush 04 U15 Girls: UFA 02 Premier I am clearly showing my ignorance with this question: what does this mean? Do these teams only play other teams in that tier for season games, or what exactly? Thanks for anyone who will explain all this.

I don't understand UFA 02 premier. They played National League last year and won SRPL but I did not think they were playing it. Is Georgia soccer required to approve those that are National League like they are with Piedmont League?

If I'm not mistaken their was a boys team from tampa that I thought played National league and ECNL last year, (could have been the year before, and I could be crazy....)
Its kind of weird that UFA is having a team play in the national league.
National league selection seems a little odd at times thats for sure.

That UFA team is playing NPL and it is a packed schedule. I suppose since AFC Lightning is doing Piedmont League and NPL then UFA could do both as well. I have seen other RPL teams last year that were listed as ECNL do I guess it is not forbidden...I just thought that Georgia Soccer would somehow have to approve it.

RPL and ECNL may have been from same club but different teams. ECNL teams were top teams RPL second and in some cases 3rd team. Remember big clubs formed SCCL as a response to RPL issues.

Also, I thought that on the girls side for NL, there was only 1 division, the Piedmont. Whereas the boys side had a 2-tier setup.

This team was in RPL and named "ECNL" Could have been a naming error as they were not playing our teams I have no idea if that was the same team as the ECNL but they were called ECNL

Piedmont is basically RPL renamed, the true National League is still the 32 teams that comprise the national tier. The piedmont is 1 of 13 conferences and the winner of each of those conferences and the top finishers in the National League will comprise the 2019 National League.

Wow -- hence why new leagues were created -- some teams play 7 games.
7 games ain't enough in my opinion from a competitive standpoint or a standings standpoint when trying to seperate teams. One weekend with an injury can you ruin your season and cause 2 loses and end your teams dreams. Yes overly dramtic, but come on $900 to $1500 bucks for 7 games?

Only LSA in the U14 girls is in the National League. All of this stuff is basically renaming of RPL. Those 4 U14 teams (AFU, AFC, Santos and LSA) play the Piedmont League games against each other and the NC and SC teams just like the old RPL (just changing the conference map). LSA, who qualified for National League, also plays the National League teams which are the 32 teams in the country that qualified for National League based upon last season's Regional and National Tournaments and/or their regional play. It is no different from RPL and NL in the past for the boys who have two tiers. The only difference for the girls is there is only 1 tier in the Piedmont Conference.

So the NL (32 teams) is like a UEFA CL. Play outside your normal league. Similar to NPL in past years. The reason I'm asking for clarity is that there is no information online on the USYS regarding those 32 teams/schedule/etc.

The reason I'm asking for clarity is that there is no information online on the USYS regarding those 32 teams/schedule/etc. That is correct. In previous seasons they have run those games similar to a tournament....one weekend with about 3 games, then another weekend with more games, etc. They generally group them also so you don't play all 32.

Sorry but that is not a league.

Where are y'all seeing the 7 games? All the U14's above play every other team in the bracket (11 games).

The 32 National Tier teams will play in (4) 8 team brackets and play 3 games first weekend in December and 4 games in Las Vegas in March. The 4 winners of brackets go directly to the us youth soccer national championship next July in Kansas City. Supposedly done on 2 weekends because by shrinking it to 2 weekends they had over 200 college scouts and scouts from the national team able to see a large amount of girls in 2 weekends.

That makes sense though, 2 tournaments in addition to their 11 regular season games (in the fall and again in the spring). 22 + 7, plus state cup plus other tournaments.

Ah, gotcha! Better setup some local friendlies. Against SCCL teams, to establish which level is better.

The tournaments are only for the Natl tier league. The Piedmont league participants don't participate in those. In the past there has been 3 events (Disney, CASL and Vegas) and each team has to do 2 events, these events are run at the same time as the regular tournaments but have their own bracket and their own location.
