Lot of griping this time of year about schedules, but they have to work out all the conflicts before releasing them.
So, lets cut to the gist, last spring my younger kids team could barely schedule any games because of all the DA teams, or couldn't find competitive teams to play. It resulted in a spring season of tournaments for our games which drove up the cost to play which is crazy.
This season, my older kids team and this is funny, the refs didn't show up to the first national league game. Youth soccer, enjoy the ride, it's shorter than you think!

Anyone have U18/U19 bracjets? Your TM and coach can see the pairings and they should be released to the public tomorrow (hopefully;)

U13 boys is not up yet but i was able to take a look a the prelim one before it was taken down. All i can tell you is that the amount of travel that they're doing is ridiculous. I would have thought that GA Soccer would try to keep it at least balanced.
Our away games include Phenix City, AL, Milledgeville, Savannah and Villa Rica. Not sure why we didn't get 2 and 2 to keep it fair.
Ga Soccer is clearly doing a poor job in scheduling, season starts in less than 2 weeks and we have nothing finalized. And then they wonder why the big 5 left? Next year they're supposed to create another division of SCCL, and they lose more teams.

Interesting you say that...I have seen some coaches praising the NL this weekend and thanking them and GA Soccer of how awesome it was. So what did your team end up doing? Waited for some refs to show up? Or will it be rescheduled

If holds true about another division for SCCL, this can be the next step after U8-U12 Academy scheduled games for clubs top teams that don't have DA/ECNL/RPL/NL etc. or 2nd and 3rd club teams that do. Welcome to the world of which league does your kid play now.

Soccermom do tell all with a little more specifics. What is the next division of SCCL? Is it to bring in clubs next team into SCCL? For example UFA Norcross Premier team is SCCL. Red (second) team is playing Classic. Will the red team then be in SCCL 2.
Also what clubs are you hearing that will join SCCL next year?
If you can share great. If it's still top secret share anyway.

The pairings are up on my side of things (Team Manager) for U13B, but the actual times and fields aren't updated yet which is why the Schedule isn't posted for the public yet. I would assume you will see it posted today sometime. In the meantime, your team manager or coach should be able to see the match days, teams, and whether it is home or away. Yes, she saw it last week and shared it with me.

U13 schedule is there now, but very few games have locations and times so far. But GA soccer has released it. Now we just wait for the club assignors to plug in times and field location.

I'm happy to have the dates at least only one known conflict for me. Would still prefer 10-12 games over the 9 in Athena A, but will take what we get and hope for a big season.

Must be the 13U parent. I mean why have fall season end? Let’s just take a two week break at New Years and play through till May. They could get say 38 games in between September and May I bet. Plus by not taking time off there’s no February rust or over priced tournaments that Concorde cancels due to rain.

He CLEARLY said he would prefer 10-12 games not some ridiculous number! You disparage him by making him sound like a newbie calling him a 13U parent. So what if he is a 13U parent? Most people think 9 league games over a 3 month period is not enough. After all whether you play 9 games or 13 or 18 you are paying the same. They learn by playing. Plus the point of this is to have fun and play the game!!!

Lol. 2-3 more games are gonna ruin the team? Only 1 game the entire month of October. I assume lack of games was the main reason for starting/joining the NPL (supplementary games against remote opponents). I think almost every other athena age group in GA soccer has 10-12 games. But will take it as it comes and hope they can make the top 3-4.
