For anyone interested... ATL Futsal is the only program in Georgia to be granted "Academy" status by US Youth Futsal. They plan to have age groups for: • 2010/09 (U10) • 2008/07 (U12) • 2006/05 (U14) • 2004/03 (U16) • 2000/02/01 (U19). Boys and Girls. North and South. North evaluations: Action Sports Academy, 5639 Memorial Dr, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 • Dates: Aug 24, 26, Sep 7, Sep 9, Sep 14 • Times: U10 - U12 - 6:00 - 7:30 PM /// U13+ 7:30 - 9:00 PM (dates/time upcoming for Suwannee) South evaluations: The Heritage School, 2093 US-29, Newnan, GA 30263 • Aug 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 29, Sep 5, Sep 7, Sep 9, Sep 12, Sep 14 • Times: U10 & U12 - 6:00 - 7:30 PM /// U14 / U16 / U19 - 7:30 - 9:00 PM web: www.atlfutsal.cominfo: info@ATLFutsal.com __ I have no affiliation with the program. Just thought I'd pass along information regarding additional soccer options for likeminded individuals. Also, from my understanding, this would not conflict w/ club, so kids can do both. More touches. .

Bit on the late side, final tryout is tomorrow it seems. Yeah from what I was told from some kids on our team trying out on the Southside the director of the club said you had to be at 2-3 of the evaluations date to be considered for the team, so it is a bit too late.

Sorry, info is out there to be found by anyone. My bet is - like anything else - if your kid makes an impression, there will be room. The director for North and South should be the same. There's contact info on the site.

Thanks for the info - when does the league play? is there a regular season schedule or a tournament based schedule? I assume it's winter play - don't know if there's a season schedule but I think there are tournament's they will play in. From looking at US Youth Futsal, there appears to be a number of clubs around the Southeast. I would think they will come into play. There's training ongoing and it's supposed to be club-schedule friendly to minimize conflicts. If it's not on the ATL Futsal site, I'd email the director.

The power of the Forum....... Probably not, but we can dream right! 100% why my son attended- read about it here and signed him up Surprisingly a very talented group last night- u14’and up. If players decide to join they will have very talented older age group teams

Us too! My boy liked it and had fun. He frankly doesn’t get enough of this anymore, as the 11 v 11 game is much slower. Agree, the group was surprisingly very strong on the ball. Should be a very good team. The one year commitment maybe tough for us with everything going on. Kids that can do it will benefit from the training.
