On Girls side Tophat rules, end of discussion.

On Girls side Tophat rules, end of discussion. Historically you may be right, but so far this season it looks like the stranglehold TH had at the top of the standings has been usurped by CF. That would make sense since they no longer have DA, so their top players would logically be ECNL. In regards to TH who I personally still think is one of the top Girls program in the country, they are 2nd at the U13 age group and maybe the U17s, but are nowhere near the top of any other age group. Current Standings U13s - CF First Place U14s - CF First Place U15s - CF First Place U16s - AFU First Place U17s - CF First Place U19s - Florida Elite First Place U19 Composite - GSA First Place

For example the SSA CF is the first place team and the real CF is near the bottom at U14. Plus there have been so many rainouts I really think it is not possible to make any comments one way or another. For example AFU U14 has played only one game so majorly skewing results at the moment. Better to revisit this discussion after 3 more weeks. Then we will have a better idea.

This was more of a snapshot after a month. Things will sort themselves out. Thanks for providing a better context for the info...

CF Premier (SSA) currently in 1st, CF Platinum (CF) currently in 2nd.

Kind of makes you go...Hmmmmm.

Yes, they have lost 2 games (and they are posted), but they are still in 2nd place at 4-2. ECNL standings are determined by points per game (if it were by points, they'd actually be in first with 4 wins and 12 points). Their average points per game is 2, which is 2nd best. The ones that are not posted are the Premier team's games (SSA team).

I'm an ECNL parent so I don't need the education on how the tables in ECNL are kept...I fully understand. I just make it a point not to be fixated at this point in the season. Check back in April when it means something.

Girls:
1. All GA clubs appear to be doing well. 2. Concorde seems to have benefited early on from the SSA alliance. 3. TopHat is far from dominating in ECNL play. 4. GSA probably next most consistent club to CF across age groups.
Boys:
1. Standings are hit and miss depending on age level. 2. FL club teams are consistently stronger than the previous year.

Composite teams have really only started to play. AFU did not play last weekend because Florida team did not want to risk it with Florence close by. We have several games coming up.

Check back in April when it means something. Think you are reading a lot more into my post than is there. Definitely not obsessing over U14 ECNL standings. I don't have a kid in that age group. Simply pointing out the incorrect info in a couple statements that were made. 1st by Oraclesfriend who mistakenly said CF U14 Platinum was at the bottom of the table (when they are actually currently in 2nd), and the 2nd by you, Doom, who said that the accurate information I provided was "Wrong." In fact everything you stated in your post was incorrect, including the accusation that the CF team wasn't reporting their losses. Hmmmmmmm..... makes me wonder why someone is bent on spreading untruths about CF. Good luck to your daughter and her ECNL team.

CF Premier (SSA) currently in 1st, CF Platinum (CF) currently in 2nd. Last week before their two games that they won they were near the bottom. They have played 6 games to some clubs' one, two or three games so the standings right now mean absolutely nothing. I have nothing against CF. I am just starting that the standings mean nothing when some teams have played 6 games and some have played 1 regardless if it is PPG or not. There is too little data to draw conclusions. As for me being wrong I admit I was since I did not check last week's games since most area teams were canceled. However, they were a lot lower before those games as you can do the math. I think they are a good team and was surprised by their early losses. Personally I think the whole conversation is silly right now ESPECIALLY given the LOADS of game cancellations. And my mistake just proves my point.

Actually, from what I know of Coach NK, I'm not really surprised. I believe she has both the U16s and U17s. She's a very good coach who draws out the best in her players, even when she has parents who do nothing but impede their kids development.

There are other coaches with that as their name that also coach U17 so maybe make it clear that you meant AFU's coach since you didn't quote the post.

You are correct, thinking about it now I see your point. Force of habit, I'm used to calling her NK. I'm referring to Nadine at AFU

Nadine is fantastic, and tough as nails. She can train the boys just as great as she trains the girls.
