Young Harris College, the little private Methodist school up in the mountains, has the number 1-ranked men's soccer team in NCAA Division II this season. The Mountain Lions are 16-0-1 this season, with the only draw coming in the Conference championship game, which they won 5-4 on penalties.
The team's roster features 30 players, of which four are from the state of GA. The other 26 are all from European countries, hailing from Spain, England, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Austria, and the Netherlands. They'll begin their NCAA tournament run at home this Sunday. The program has been consistently very good at the DII level over the last few years and won a few conference titles, but this season has been their best in recent memory.
