Yes it is!! Daughter just received letter of intent to Georgia College and State. With a year off last year due to turn ACL and meniscus, this is a miracle. She is on the right team this year and for Lots of exposure and offers. All the long drives and early mornings paid off!!😀😀😀😀

Following PT and weight training, which girls typically don’t do helped healing and strength!.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Truly happy for both you and you daughter. I know she deserves a lot of the credit, but I think parents/guardians do too. Our kids successes are fueled by us, what with all the hats we have to wear - mom, dad, driver, doc, nurse, psychologist, cheerleader, supporter, sponsor, etc...👌⚽👌

Thanks everyone. Yes Peachbelt is tough. Georgia College actually went to the final and tokk Columbus State to PKs, but lost. Great program and academically strong school.

Strikermom - Congratulations! That's awesome. Happy for you and your daughter, and jealous that you'll get to continue to watch her play in college. And I love the title of your post: Is it all worth it? My daughter decided last year that she doesn't want to play in college. She's been recruited for two years and could play in college, but she wants to be a college kid and that's it - not a student/athlete. Despite that, was it all worth it? For me, yes, it still was. All the time in the car, all the flights, all the hotels, and the occasional crap from playing at Big 5 clubs, yes, it was still worth it. It was still worth it, because she has learned confidence, self esteem, teamwork, fitness, health, how hard work pays off, how to win gracefully, how to deal with disappointment, how to support others, how to communicate with teammates, coaches, and referees, how to lead (been a team captain for multiple years), etc. We have spent countless hours and thousands and thousands of dollars, and she's not playing in college. I still think it was worth it. I have so many memories and the joy of watching her play, and I know she will carry forward with her everything she has learned on the pitch.
