I will continue my UFA boys u16/u17 hype machine. Why you ask, because they freaking deserve it. Go watch this team play, because they've got it! Very exciting squad and you have to love these kids! Very very impressive. Hats off to RD/UFA and this squad at this point in the season! Current standings --- UFA has 3 points from Sundays game that aren't added yet, and not sure the result yet on the Concorde/Armada game, but if Concorde won, thats 3 points, and their pts/gp will go to 1.667

Agreed! These boys are the real deal and deserve more hype! Caught the Game on Sunday at Fowler and have to say they don’t mess around! Played as a team and had great chemistry. The back line is strong with some great talent. Can’t wait to see where they end up.

Robin Dixon is a great coach. He gets the most out of his players.

Soccerhouse were you able to catch the u15 Sunday game as well? Just curious how the NCFC team rebounded after the 6-0 loss to AU the day before.

Bam. I fully expect AU to make a nice little run having 4 or 5 fewer games, but very impressive for the UFA and Concorde to be in this position. Concorde has 3 tough games coming up - Rapids, NCFC and UFA

Soccerhouse were you able to catch the u15 Sunday game as well? Just curious how the NCFC team rebounded after the 6-0 loss to AU the day before. I watched this game and was also surprised by the outcome. The first half was predominantly made up of the 2004s for AU, maybe one 2005 striker. AU finished the half up 3 zip. Word has it that at halftime, knowing five 2005s were going in, TA spoke with them and challenged them to see if they could replicate the score from the first half. We all know the result, but I was taken back by how easily the 2005s were able to dominate.

Carolina played 5 03's and 1 04 all with meaningful playing time. UFA only played 1 03 for 19 minutes. That was probably the difference in the game.

Not to take anything away from Carolina, because they are a good team, but that would be a stupid decision when playing the top seed team. I watched the whole game, and not only did UFA dominate, they did so with a skeleton roster with many of their players having to play up with the U19’s. Let’s just give credit where credit is due. These boys deserve the bragging rights for bringing it this season when many thought they may crumble with loss of former players. True sportsmanship and chemistry amount the boys has proven to drive this team!

gamejunkie brought up the most important fact, this team lost 3-4 players to Concorde during tryouts, to be in this current position is nothing but a success story. I'll say it again, please go watch this team play, it's worth it. These kids deserve your attention (not that others don't).

I was going to comment the same....those players that decided to leave on the last day of tryouts to go to CF...wonder what they're thinking now?

Win 14 today for UFAs 17s
Yes - points per game is the metric because not all teams play the same number of games but only one other team in all of the u17s has 14 wins.
The freaking hype machine continues.

The season isn’t over, so don’t jinx these young men. However, please hype this—there are at least 3 starters on this team who were inducted into the National Honor Society for their academic and community achievements this year. THAT is impressive.

u17s - 1-0 final to UFA -- huge huge win. On a cold windy day, well earned 3 points. Hats off to Dixon and this squad again. If your not on the wagon, yet, time to get on board the hype machine! Pretty remarkable!
AU 15s won 2-1, UFA had their slew of chances in the 2nd half and held their own for sure. Kids should be proud, played a strong physical game and had AU on their toes the entire 2nd half. Hit a post on an empty net.
Oh yea - I think I counted 16 subs for AU 15s.

You are spot on with your assessment. I would add that for most of the second half of the 17s game, AU had UFA on their heels but when you can't finish, it's all for naught.
In regards to the U15s for AU and the loads of subs, I think you missed one. 🤪🤪 The U15s(2004s) have the Nat'l Team U14s(2005s) lads playing with them also and getting meaningful playing time and in lots of cases, starting. From discussions with some of the 2004 parents, this has brought about some consternation with the 2004 parents. Not sure if AU is doing this as a wake up for the 2004s or if it's just part of their overall master plan. All in all a good day of football in both games. Now the cold and wind on the other hand...FG

Yea - would think some 04 parents wouldn’t be happy - the 05s will have their time, let the 04s play. Kind of like how so few 03s are playing with the 17s - I think 2 played for AU today and 2 came off off the bench for UFA. Both sides are crazy 2002 heavy.

Latest standings as of April 3, 2019. UFA and AU have 5 games left Concorde with 6 games left Concorde has to play both UFA and AU again A lot can change over the next month and if AU wins out they will make a huge push up the table. But if I did my math correctly, if UFA wins at least 3 of the next 5 they are guaranteed to stay above AU. One game at a time, all eyes on the next game!!

Lead story on CNN this morning --
17s remain top of the table (Picture below is of 19s)
AU dropped one to Kendall - Fusion will jump them in the standings. Should be an interesting final 3 games for AU - they have Weston today

Is this how they do the seeding for the USDA playoffs? With only the winners of each group advancing? The groups are the columns
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 16 15 14 13 12 11 10 09 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25

I was under the impression this applied only to the U15s: U-15 Boys Playoff structure: 8 teams qualify for postseason (7 division winners plus 1 wild card based on the highest PPG). Two groups of 4 teams compete in round-robin play. The winner of each group will advance to the final.
