The question about commute times made me curious as to how many other clubs a person passes to get to the club where they play. How many clubs do you pass to get your child to the location where he/she plays? If you have multiple children, you can include up to 3 answers.

UFA Lawrenceville and Collins Hill FC are close. But I guess AFU, GSA Lilburn, Chiefs, Steamers, Ga Express, UFA Norcross, Bryson Park, TYSA, and All-In FC are all in same general area or 20 mile drive.

I voted for one, but really we drive away from the closest club to another one that is further away, but definitely a better fit. We don't pass any other clubs on our way. We used to play at the closest club, but made a move to the one where we play now. Best decision for both of our kids that we made. Wish we had done it earlier.
As a side note there is a kid on one of my children's teams that passes every club just about to get to us. They pass every club within the perimeter's north and east side and all of the 85 corridor. Could even go Southside with less time than it takes to get to us. This is also the best thing for their kid currently. Kid was passed over for being "too small" by clubs' lower level teams than the one she plays on with us. She is very technical, scrappy, solid tactically and reasonably quick. Those other clubs missed out on a very strong player.

Imagine living in a city like Raleigh where there is really one and only one option!

Imagine living in a city like Raleigh where there is really one and only one option! There is one big club there that dominates, but Triangle United (TUSA) and Wake FC are in that area. Wake is pretty good in several age groups for girls, playing in NC highest level and playing NPL. TUSA is weaker in most age groups but still does NPL and high level NC state levels. Interestingly, NCFC's 3rd and 4th teams are pretty strong. They play Piedmont and do decent in Jeff Cup as well. They have options but certainly not like we do.

6 clubs within 15 miles but not all offer the same levels. Also, drive times could be vastly different depending on the direction within those 15 miles.

Live in North Fulton and pass I would say probably four to five clubs to get to my son's Club. It was a lot about fit and quality of coaching.
