So we all know by now JK announced his roster for the Denmark and Switzerland games
(The US will face Denmark on Wednesday in Aarhus (3 pm ET on ESPN2 and UniMas) before heading to Switzerland for a friendly in Zurich on March 31 (12 pm ET on Fox Sports 1 and UniMas)
I thought Yedlin was hurt, or that's what the news was on why he wasn't getting any playing time with Tottenham?
Again, you know me, my least favorite player besides the great Bobby Wood, is Timmy "i have a giant rump" Chandler! Just not a fan of his game at all.
And lastly, Julian Green, I get it the kid has loads of potential etc, but let him find his way with his club teams first. Just seems unnecessary to me. He is still young, i guess JK wants him on the roster for the gold cup? Let the kid find his away, why do we have to anoint him the next great one at such a young age. To be fair though, I really have barely seen the kid play.
Glad to see Miguel Ibarra again. heard an interview with John spencer (goo.gl/nXuBNU) this morning and he managed Portland when they had Ibarra in for a work out. he said it came down to him or another person and they obviously chose wrong. Said he couldn't have made a bigger mistake and acknowledged that is one of the major problems, that sometimes it doesn't come down to skill/ability but rather just a managers/coach's choice. He applauded him for not quiting and again acknowledged how wrong he was for not taking the kid!
during one of the NYCFC games, the announers said Mix's natural position was more as an outside middy, would love to have seen him get some minutes outside (hes obviously not on the roster)
i think fabian is the difference maker though, with him getting forward with Jozy and zardes, should make for some good soccer.
Shea has been playing pretty good in the back, with his size anyway he can be converted to a center back?
Full USMNT roster:
GOALKEEPERS (3): Cody Cropper (Southampton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), William Yarbrough (Leon)
DEFENDERS (8): Ventura Alvarado (Club America), John Anthony Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Michael Orozco (Puebla), Tim Ream (Bolton), Brek Shea (Orlando City SC), DeAndre Yedlin (Tottenham Hotspur)
