My opinion: Almost none
My kid's present coach accomplishes more player fitness work in technical sessions (with the ball) than any other coach has ever done with sprints or distance running. It can be done with the ball.
This may come out sounding weird.. But IMHO, there is too much time without the ball in games.. To waste precious "training time" on fitness with no ball at/near a players feet.

Especially at younger ages - with limited time and field space, precious training mins shouldn't be wasted with conditioning only.
Our coach works our kids butts off during our sessions. Full speed for 1.5 hours, boys are beat at the end.
Yes as they get older you will see it and should especially during preseason etc, but it's the part of soccer that always bothered me especially at the college level. Fitness fitness fitness. The spring is run until you puke etc. too many talented kids quit because they want to play soccer not run track.

Rifle is dead on. Almost all conditioning can be done with a ball. Though if it's off season or just looking for a change of pace, swimming and other activities are great. Especially for younger teens.
