As you stated, NSA is vs. AFU so my youngest is at home against AFU at Pickneyville Park. My oldest plays at Braly Park in Dallas. We call it the Prison complex because it's right next to and across from a Jail and Juvenile Detention Center as well as other country run agencies. The fields are nice though. Thought this was the worst one in regards to being close to a jail until we went a couple of weeks ago to Lamar Murphy Park in Jefferson. The prison, complete with razor wire and inmates watching the soccer games from the play yard during their outside time, overlooks the field. They also maintain the grounds on the complex. If you google streetview the park, you'll see them out and about mowing and landscaping. Lamar Murphy Park Streetview

This is reassuring...seriously though, it's a minimum security lock-up for things like non-payment of child support and other minor violations so it's not as bad as it seems.

That is hilarious.mthanks for the posts. I drove my son who is 11 th Braly and when we passed by the juvenile detention center he asked "dad, is that the JuVie?" They know more than we know. Great post. Thanks

Big weekend coming up. Arguably the top two clubs in Gwinnett face off in Academy play: GSA vs DSC. DSC came out ahead last Spring, we'll see how the Fall matches go.

There's been an influx of players into the GSA Academy. Much more depth, not just strength at the top and then "everyone else". Should be fun to watch

how did that shake out soccertwins? did top teams take on kids from spurs/tysa, or did most teams stay the same??

how did that shake out soccertwins? did top teams take on kids from spurs/tysa, or did most teams stay the same?? There were additions from both TYSA and Spurs at the Lilburn complex. About 1 or 2 players per team but also more players from other clubs outside of the merger. I can't speak for the teams at Granite (former TYSA academy). So far the teams from GSA (Gwinnett) and TYSA haven't consolidated but now wear the same kits and are all under the new GSA (Gol Soccer Academy). Looks like both will be playing each other later in the year and I'm sure they will all be supporting both the TYSA and GSA fall tournaments. There will probably be a bigger benefit at the select level with identifying top talent to form strong first, second, and third teams.
