Every team in Athena A has a loss or a tie. Top 7 are beating each other up. I think any of 3-4 teams could still finish first and any of 7 teams - SSA, TH, UFA, AFU, CF, NASA or GSA - could make up the top 4. It's also a loaded age group as evidenced by the success of these teams in tournaments around the SE. This age group should definitely put 4 teams in RPL next spring. And State Cup is going to be wide open. Fun group to watch AND I have seen great sportsmanship among the teams at this age group so far. Been a great intro to Select soccer for my daughter. Just thought I'd share my two cents at about the halfway point of the fall season.

I completely agree. There are a LOT of strong teams in this age group. Once the divisions are tweaked for next season, battles for the top spots in A and B will be even tougher. I feel sorry for Roswell (and the teams they play) - they're pounding teams 43-0 so far in C and deserve a chance to play teams at least at a B level.

Yes...the Millennials are a very deep and strong group. Lots of girls from the year 2000 still playing at all levels. My oldest fits in that group and is on a level C/D team that will probably end up on a solid C group in the spring. The quality of soccer even in this bracket is nice to see. My daughter plays on the 3rd level team in her club for her age group but the whole team is a solid, solid team. To show the opposite, my youngest daughter is u9 and they only had enough interest to field 2 teams in that age group and many of the kids (my daughter included are not true u9s but rather u8s. That u13 group of girls will be something special for sure. Hope my daughter fits in it somewhere.

Oh yeah, forgot to comment about Roswell. Haven't seen them yet but we play them in the final game of the Fall season. Any chance they can move up before that game? LOL! Never good when a team is so overly dominant in their bracket that they are winning by double digits (won this past week 12-0) and haven't even given up a goal. The way it looks they'll move up in the spring as long as they keep up the winning ways.
