I see that there are teams listed as Concorde Fire West in the Nike Cup. Has anyone heard anything?

Yes. I'd heard they formed one or two U10 boys, a U13 girls, and a U15 girls teams. Practice at Incarnation Church across East Side Elementary in east Cobb. Games to be played at CF North fields.

Thanks for posting Fan!! This is seriously last minute!! Thankfully both girls are on the same field, but times would be nice with school starting the Monday after.

A little displeased to see we'll be driving to East Point instead of Dunwoody.
OK, I have to ask: how do Concorde parents feel about having home games played at GSP? That would be baffling to me. If I lived in Gwinnett or Forsyth playing for a North team and then got merged into the Central team, I would be hard pressed to drive to East Point all the time.

Dunwoody is only hosting a few of the younger games, typically sets up more for small sided soccer. You can't really host many games there. Its just the boys and girls u12s there.
GSP isn't bad for tourneys. I think the ECNL teams are playing in fayetteville this year. This past year they were at GSP. There is a big difference driving their just for games vs training. Games/tourneys is fine, practice -- thats another story. But I honestly do not know if teams train there during the week or not. There aren't any lights right?

I know this has gotten off topic but there's at least one unfortunate team that has to play 8:00am and 8:00pm on Saturday and 8:00am on Sunday. Glad it's not us (and cross my fingers that the schedule doesn't get changed to give us that schedule)!

Glad it's not us (and cross my fingers that the schedule doesn't get changed to give us that schedule)! I'll keep the off-topic going ... So being a "tourney" (like a Carney (is that how you spell that??) but with much less fun...) There has to be a reason for that kind of schedule - I would NEVER schedule a team like that without there being a scheduling conflict with the coach or some special circumstance/request. That's awful.
