USSF is evidently in talks with a CONCACAF team to replace the Matildas. As of now they say the games are still on but the opponent will change. That would be great. Having Canada, USWNT, and Australia in CONCACAF would make us arguably the best continent for women's soccer. However, the travel costs would be terrible.

New opponent selected for US women's soccer game in Birmingham
The U.S. women's soccer team will face Haiti in Birmingham next week after their scheduled opponent, the Australian national team, backed out over a players' strike.
Besides having a new opponent, no other particulars of the game have changed – it is still set for Sunday, Sept. 20, at Legion Field. This will be the first friendly match between the U.S. and Haiti.
The Australian players are on strike over pay, accommodations and benefits. They refused to attend practices to prepare for a Sept. 17 game in Detroit and the Sept. 20 game in Birmingham.
Organizers said Wednesday that the game was absolutely still happening and encouraged people to continue buying tickets. Last week, Gene Hallman, executive director of the Alabama Sports Foundation and CEO of the Bruno Event Team, said about 35,000 tickets had been sold so far and that the match could take place before a record crowd.
Neil Buethe, the U.S. Soccer Director of Communications, told MLive that talks have already started with other programs to play in both Detroit and Birmingham, but he did not reveal which teams were involved in those discussions.
"Australia confirmed that they will not travel to the U.S. to participate in the two matches in Detroit and Birmingham due to the labor dispute with their players, but that does not mean the games are cancelled," he told MLive. "Since we became aware that Australia might not travel to the U.S. a couple days ago, we have been in communication with other Federations about their Women's National Team serving as a replacement for both matches. Those discussions are ongoing and we hope to have an agreement finalized soon."
The game at Birmingham's Legion Field is part of a 10-match tour to celebrate the USA's third World Cup title.
The tour began Aug. 16 against Costa Rica in Pittsburgh, then continued with a sold-out game against Costa Rica in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Aug. 19.
After playing in Birmingham, the team will play against Brazil on Oct. 21 in Seattle and Oct. 25 in Orlando. The remaining match dates, venues and opponents will be announced as they are confirmed.

It's too bad they couldn't get a legitimate side to play. Will be one of those 7 or 8 to zero games.

Haiti isn't anywhere near the quality of the Matildas. Disappointed.

I'm just glad the game is going on as scheduled. While I do think Australia would be much better, it's still an off season friendly without much of the edge a pre WC game would have no matter who's playing. It will be our first time seeing the USWNT team in person so glad Haiti was able to step up.
