You mean player passes? They're are an ID card for the player. Team manager makes them using template from GA Soccer. Think driver's license. Has a picture of the player, birthdate, club, and ID number. Generally the team manager or coach keeps them for the team and the referees go over all of them pre-game for check-in.

I think that's exactly what it is, player passes. The word that I was given was "player cards". I guess people just name them differently. thanks again

I think you are combining two terms. Like mentioned above, the player passes are the licenses that the refs look at before the game that show your child is authorized to play. You will need the pass if your child is to guest play on another team. The game card is the roster of your team and lists the game details that the refs sign and list the score.

Are you a new team manager? If so, here's my simplest explanation about cards and passes
1: Player passes and membership cards are printed out on standard blank forms provided to clubs by GA soccer...you put the blank form in your printer (the right way up), and via the GA soccer club/team manager page you access, print the player pass and player membership card.
2: Like jack4343 said, the player passes are the important ones, that refs look at. They are labelled "MEMBER PASS". Those are the ones you can't lose. My advice is to scan all those this weekend, in case you need to reproduce them. Perish at the thought.
3: On the same form, to the right of the player pass, there's another form called the "MEMBERSHIP CARD". I've managed three teams, and I still don't know what those are actually used for. I have never needed one, but I always keep up with them. It may be I forgot what they're used for, but I'm old, and forget sh&t.
4: Game Card. If you're a manager or a club person, you need to print this out before games, as this is the official roster to the GA soccer referees. Only players on the printed game card should be allowed to play. On VERY few occasions, a written-in name will suffice, but I've only heard that and never seen it. The game card is the official document after the game showing goals, and if given, cards and the reasons for them. All referees and coaches for both teams have to sign it for it to be accepted by GA soccer.
Did I miss anything?
Hope this was helpful. It was a beautiful day, tomorrow will be even better. When my kid's team starts to lose, I break out the kindle and read about places I've never been.
Hope that helps, too.

A few more points about player passes, membership cards and game day rosters.
The membership card (blue background) can actually be given to the players so they can boast to their friends thatchy play soccer. That's about all they are good for.
The member pass (white background) is to be laminated. It is also nice to keep them in alphabetical order. It makes check in much easier on game day.
The game day roster - ahhh the game day roster!
First, make sure you bring 2 copies for the referee. Each team should hand in two copies so the referees ends up with a total of four copies. Make sure you get a copy back after the game with everything filled out. If you only give the ref one and he has to send in a report he will need to keep your one copy and is under no obligation to give one back. That's why you need to give him two. Always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Make sure to fill in the jersey numbers. If you log in to your team page in the registration/schedule web site and go to "Team Roster" then click on "Edit Player Team Info" you can put the numbers in there and they will print out every time so you won't have to worry about it again.
The only time that a player may be written in is if the player is printed on one team's roster but not on the other. For a Saturday game you can print you roster on Wednesday. If one team prints their copies on Wednesday then the other adds a player to their roster after that, the player will show up on one but not the other and can then be written in. This usually happens with players who are being club passed.
These are the most common errors that I find when I referee. This weekend I had a team with a totally clueless manager and coach. Their cards were not laminated. They had not printed the game day roster at all. They did have their state roster so I could verify the players, but what a mess!

One thing a ref did for our U13s (new TM only printed one game card) is he had us take a picture of it with our phone after he was done for our records. Was quick thinking for a ref that had 8 games on Saturday and we were his last at 7:00pm.

Also, if there are any cards given in the game, make sure that the player(s) who was/were given the card(s) and the reason for the card is clear on both game cards. There are specific codes on the Sports Affinity website that need to be entered, and both team managers must enter the same information. If they don't, you end up with the scores that read a 0 (zero) with a red CC (contested card) next to it.
