David Seaman is probably still flapping at Ronaldhino's shot from the 2002 World Cup.
I agree that the shirt pulling, etc. goes on at every set piece (see Skrtel, Martin). However, putting hands to someone's face and chest bumping is a little much, even for the 47 yr old Costa.

I just think the guy who played keeper in premier league probably had a decent view of the kind of stuff that goes on. I recently stood near the end line at a Silverbacks game during a fairly intense altercation and frankly I was surprised at how violent and vulgar those players are.
I'm still not a fan of Costa's posturing, but I still felt it was very interesting to hear someone talk about the situation without the ultra-inflammatory rhetoric of the English media, which is probably the thing I hate most about premier league.

Excellent...I had to Google his age to be sure I heard it right the first time I saw him play. I thought for sure he was mid 30s at least. Imagine him as a u10 player...probably was already shaving.

The stuff about Costa is not because of what happened in one weekend. Costa has been doing stuff like this his whole career. The only reason it is being made a bigger deal now is because he is seen more in the BPL. Costa has always been a shady player...

The only reason it is being made a bigger deal now is because he is seen more in the BPL. Costa has always been a shady player... I can't totally disagree, except the reason it is a bigger deal is not because he is seen more... it is because he is in England and the press there is even more shady than Costa (or even Suarez). But the point is still somewhat valid, that people are practically pulling out their hair over what he did in this game, some even calling for the game results to be reversed, when a keeper who played in the same league says it is the same stuff that goes on all the time. And while I hate to say it, Mourinho is right that apparently you can get away with retaliation as long as the FA hates the player you retaliate against.
