That really stinks. I assume the game wasn't played then. If I'm not mistaken, they now have to come to your fields for the make-up game, and they still have to pay for the refs (at your fields).

Both my daughters games had all refs at the games. Not sure what is happening, too many make up games maybe??

Yep...stinks doesn't it. Reap what you sow I guess. Maybe the coaches that run their mouths a bit will shut them and the obnoxious parents will think twice before they forget they are adults and start acting a fool. Doubt it though especially since the coaches had to beg some ARs that had never centered to be the center even if they weren't comfortable and yet some parents STILL yelled. My 14 year old was one of them but she held her ground and refused to center. Good for her...she is part of the solution...not the problem. However, after the u14 boys game she AR'ed tonight where a GFC parent (the word parent is used VERY loosely here) followed her up and down the field yelling at her and the other refs and another one running onto the field to yell at opposing players while her kids coach had to remove her from the field. It's pathetic to see. THAT is the reason UFA can't find refs. Its not because of the merger, not because the assignor isn't busting her butt begging for refs. It's because it's not worth it...and it's time the parents start taking ownership of their actions. All the clubs are struggling to find any refs especially in the Fall with the full u8 to u19s playing and college games going on as well. Maybe the dozens of parents that served as ARs today will have a different perspective now. I doubt it though. It really irks me to no end.

Depends on whether the original poster is talking about an Academy game or a select one. If academy, then that doesn't apply and you've got to figure they will make sure the select games are staffed 1st, followed by academy then rec.

Hopefully they set them straight after the game.
