Sure he could.
I prefer Nagbe for team USA. Once he gets citizenship, that is.

Too late. Clint Mathis already has that.

Mathis was one of the better players on the USMNT. He never was a star on the world stage.

Yea. Unless this timeline is wrong, Kekuta Manneh had a cup of coffee in Georgia. It would be more appropriate to say Texas' Kekuta Manneh. Nevertheless, nice little player. I do not know if he is international quality, but I do enjoy seeing a highlight every now and then.

Yes, certainly!
From the clips that I've seen, Kekuta seems to have had a few good games, and a very good start kicking off his playing career with Vancouver. But, with so little time playing as a pro, I say "good job", "entertaining", "early visibility for Kekuta, his teammates, Vancouver or the MLS", but, so what?
I do hope that the MLS and the US media (hungry for a young soccer phenom story) do not put him up onto "Saint-hood" status too early as they have done the likes of Freddy Adu at 14. It is very tough for a teenage player playing pro ball against experienced/grown "men" to remain calm, consistent, and manage the media attention that they will get.
I'd love to see him continue to remain successful in the MLS (perhaps winning a few playoff games for his team, and maybe even an MLS cup). At some point, carry that success over into a more competitive environment (top league in Europe with decent salary), while remaining humble, cool headed, respectful, and consistent.
Until then, good showing, good visibility for the MLS (Vancouver). Kudos to those who may have taken taken part in Kekuta's development: Gambia, Texas Rush, Georgia Rush, now Vancouver...Hope he can rise up to the level of the next Mathis, Dempsey, Altidore, Donovan. Let's pray and keep our fingers crossed - Lord knows, we need it!

Of course Zizou knows it all from reading Wikipedia. KM maintains his off season residence in Crabapple and can often be seen training with the two boys from his GA family at Stars Athletic Club in Milton. He also holds a GA driver's license. Seems local enough for me.
