Nice to see this...Familiar with IMG Academy in Bradenton as well as Dallas Texans charter, but not this.
My guess is that (at some point in the future), most DA programs will be "part of or partnered with" MLS club academies as a training ground for MLS talent (investments) for the top team or possibly for sale to highest bidders.
Hopefully, a profitable model that will entice academies/trainers with some sort of financial incentive (investment) to develop on a consistent/quality controlled basis - academies using same trainers and programs as first teams, academies routinely scrimmage first teams, measurement criteria, etc.
We would need a profitable MLS for this to work across the board (where stands are filling up consistently and ticket sale continues to increase), as well as TV and corporate sponsorship and support in order it be financially feasible across the board. I believe this is coming, happening in some places...
$15K/year price tag though w/ possible scholarship qualification (yikes)...

i know one of the charlotte teams recently changed to fall under the CO avalanche umbrella. not sure if there is much money involved though. an MLS franchise will greatly change the DA landscape. if they are smart, they just involve both.........
