So I'm happy that DirecTV has all the NBC channels that show all the Premier League games, but overall I've been pretty disappointed in how the guide and the interactive scoreguide work. Sometimes games are listed in the scoreguide, sometimes not. If they are, sometimes the 'watch now' function works and finds the game, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes there are games I know to be on and I can find them in other ways (flipping through channels that often show soccer), but not with the guide or the scoreguide. Overall, I'm having a hard time finding what I want to watch when I want to watch soccer. So please share your tips and tricks on keeping up with matches and channels and schedules on DirecTV and other systems. There are lots of places (NBC, Fox Sports, ESPN, Bein Sports) to watch lots of leagues (BPL, Champions League, World Cup Qualifiers, CONCACAF games, international friendlies, MLS, plus the myriad of Spanish, Italian, French, and other leagues). How do you keep up with it? How do you know where to look when even the guides are wrong? Here's one tool I use, but it's of some limited use if you want to record games: www.directv.com/sports/bpl_scheduleAs you can see on October 26, games like Manchester United at Stoke City are listed on channel 491-495 -- great, I can't record that!

I've had similar issues. I use an app called FotMob on my iPhone and set my favorite teams (it has a boatload of teams available to select, even down to the regional leagues and 4th divisions in Europe. It even has the NASL). It allows me to see which games are on by "today" or "tomorrow" or the next match for your favorites. Then I just scroll on my DirecTV to the time the games are playing and cross my fingers that they are being broadcast on FS1, FS2, FS Plus, NBC sports, Bein, or rarely the ESPN networks.

Have you tried hitting the guide button on your remote and then hitting the yellow button after you are in guide? Then you can search by sports and then by specific sports like, for instance, soccer. Then you will see listing by soccer categories and times. I think it is pretty easy. Also, even easier I think is the directv app for iPhone or iPad (I like this one a bit better) that let's you schedule recordings remotely. It is really great and very easy. You just need to log in with your account ID or email.
If these things don't work let me know. I can walk you through it step by step.

Zizou, the problem is when they have games that aren't in the guide properly... sometimes even when the game starts, but definitely not a few days before. I like to record a few games so I can watch them when I want, and this NBC thing is often not there (to be announced) or just wrong.
I'll try the category search... hopefully it has better data than the sportsguide tv app built in to the directv receiver.
As to the app, I do use it, and it's great, but if the guide is wrong or missing data, it still won't work right.

Same problem in Comcast Xfinity. Guide App filtered to sports, and it misses half the games. 'specially on BeIn sport.

FotMob looks great so far, and at least solves the problem of knowing what games are coming up and when. Thanks!

Ahhhh. Silly me. I have not had that problem. I thought it sounded odd that you would be technologically challenged. My apologies. I also use FotMob to tell me what is coming up and have yet to miss something I wanted to see. The only logical conclusion is that I am not watching enough soccer. I will try to rectify that immediately. BeIN is the El Clasico station right now. Think I will just park there.

Dish is not showing all the games. Just showing a single game at a time.
The big thing I miss from Fox Soccer is the 10pm show.
And why oh why did they roll out Regis for the Crowd goes Wild show?
