Is there not some conflict of interest with TA being involved with GUSA and AUFC?

Is there not some conflict of interest with TA being involved with GUSA and AUFC? I'm sensing you don't like TA? you posted about him 3x I don't know him personally. As of now he is with GUSA, there is no official anything of him being with AUFC but he does have a relationshipwith them, I remember pics where he was at the AUFC tryouts. From what happened with the CF not wanting to send U12 players to AUFC tryouts I would imagine that relationship is not going well so it makes perfect sense that they would have invited the GUSA boys

The more interesting part will be to see what actual part of the MLS DA he is assigned to by his new boss.

From what I gather the latest I've heard is TA will be coaching one of the DA teams at Atlanta United. What we have heard before is that 2 coaches would be hired for each age group. Yes year 1 GA United boys will get top looks- but after that, all bets are off and Atlanta United will have players in every age group. It will be hard to crack a roster, but there is no question they will not care where/what club a kid is from, they will want the best of the best and kids that have high soccer IQs, pace, technical, and athletic. But you have to assume each coach along with director will chose each team. You would be hard pressed to find a youth coach in this city as good a TA. Go watch a GA United session and you will witness it in person. It's impressive as hell. I doubt any other local coaches get hired, but know of at least 2 that would be great fits.
With that seems odd that with all this love for the French course and certification it would seem you would have hired someone from the French system or someone with the certification to run the academy program.
The big big big problem with DA is the 2 year bands and younger kids getting cut in favor of older players. Makes for upset kids and parents and then it's tough to get back in. I still think players/parents are going to be coming from far away to play for Atlanta United with it being free. At the end of the day it's not about the parents, but the kids. Let's just hope they also take a priority in education.
For top players Atlanta United will present amazing opportunities lets just hope it Unites this soccer community vs separates it.
