Played both SSA North and SSA South Academy teams and was wondering why they had the same 3-4 players playing on their top 2 teams for both SSA North and SSA South teams. Those individual players played a total 4 games against us and this was my first time seeing this. Do any of the other clubs do this and why?

That's a good question. I can see club-passing players for Select games, but in academy it seems rather curious..

If these were what they call "Elite" teams, then I think they take best players from across their very large system to form squads with best players. I think they can do this because they are one big happy family, but I am not sure. They must have at least 150 kids per academy age level separately for boys and girls. They should be able to form teams with really good cream of the crop players. Now whether those players would ever get a chance to train together, improving chances that they could be a really good team, I do not know. |

Unlike Select teams, Academy teams are considered one big group of players per age group. As such, the club can place the players ANYWHERE they so desire. The bigger the club, the more places you could see the players as long as the parents are willing to make the trip since they are the ones driving the kids around.

Effective. My kid's old (small) club will never be able to do this.
Get your best players lots of playing time and working hard for results and rankings as they transition toward select.
