They have a few boys Academy teams, and a couple of older Select teams. I think they are actually affiliated with Ga Storm now (or at least that's how they are listed in the Affinity system for registration with Ga Soccer). The two coaches that I've met from there are solid youth coaches.

They're are ok club. They are still rebounding from losing those DOC Steve Gummer to a NC club though. Definitely good for academy considering your other options in that area.

I thought Steve Gummer's club was Smyrna Soccer Club? They have some pretty good teams. Im not familiar with the Smyrna Bulldogs.

Oh wow my bad. I thought they were both the same. I mean they both wear Red adidas jerseys too. But if GPS and Bayern Munich afe affiliated with them then they must be a solid club with the right leadership.

GPS is a franchise model similar to Rush, the GA franchise has recently bought into NGSA out of Clarkesville and will now register under this GA Soccer affiliation. The link up with GA Storm was only for the registration. Not sure GPS (Bulldogs), is the place to go right now, if you are in Smyrna try Smyrna Soccer Club, the guys here seem to have a plan and are working towards improving the standard of soccer here.

I think it depends on your goals or the goals of your son. Set your goals, then let your goals drive your decision making process. Questions to ask yourself: Do you want a place that offers great training? Do you want to go to a club that has proven in the past to develop great players? or great teams? Is somewhere close to home important?
Answer those questions first them come back to the forum and seek advice. That's what I would do...
