Could you ever have imagined that the year a US Soccer team wins a World Cup that US Soccer would be such a dysfunctional mess!

Lets see whats happened this year (in no particular order) -- please add what I left off

1. Women playing world cup on turf
2. The Hope Solo debacle
3. CONCACAF and FIFA Scandal
4. The JK experience
5. The u23 debacle and Herzog
6. US soccer announces Age Mandate with age matrix and small sided mandates
7. US soccer changes age matrix
8. US Soccer age matrix is different for DA and Youth soccer
10. US Soccer files lawsuit against USWNT to clarify collective bargaining status between 2 parties
11. US Soccer releases players private info in lawsuit
12. Youth Council Technical Working Group issues statement that US soccer has had insufficient dialogue with them and is not transparent
13. US Soccer have to cancel USWNT game in hawaii over unplayable surface and field conditions
14. US Soccer announce girls DA with limited discussions prior with ECNL
15. US women files wage discrimination action vs US Soccer

ouch. I'm always amazed how an individual can be around soccer their entire life, but be incompetent when it comes to coaching, tactics and managing a team.

To me it probably means, he never listened to coaches, never try to absord any information from the coaches he had in the past, and hasn't learned anything from a single coaching course.

And this at a time women's soccer in Europe has been improving by leaps and bounds as UEFA has poured in tons of money to help the women's game grow and the European clubs are taking full advantage. I hate to be pessimistic but it's possible we may not see another WC or Olympic final in a very long time ...
