Which tournament(s) are your children playing in at the end of the season?

Nike Cup... hoping we don't end up on turf.

None. Our coach had too many conflicts with the older teams schedule so we are doing two out of state pre season tournaments in spring. It's going to be weird having no soccer from Thanksgiving on!

I saw that TSC tried to start a new tournament on the weekend before Thanksgiving. That seems like a pretty crazy weekend to try to add a tourney. Way too much competition on that date already. It looked like several of their teams were registered for Triumph Cup even before the TSC tourney was canceled. Hard to have a tourney when your own teams aren't supporting it.

Aren't GSA and TYSA one club now? Why do they have the Triumph Cup and the GSA tournament?

Savannah the weekend before Thanksgiving, GSA, and Germantown (Memphis) . . . although my daughter is committed, we have a multi-age team (college freshmen down to sophomores) with girls still needing some more exposure.

I am a little jealous of the time off near Thanksgiving! With my kids playing in two different post-season tourneys, we've got a while to go.

With my kids playing in two different post-season tourneys, we've got a while to go. it's the first time in six years so I'm going to enjoy it now while I can. The team parents voted against Disney due to too many family conflicts. I'm actually not upset by that - it's going to be nice to have a normal Thanksgiving for a change!

I have two playing and their events unfortunately are not well coordinated. We have Savannah, SSA, Disney, and Athens. Norcross may be added. Someone please tell me I will make it to Christmas intact!

Ugh...that's rough zizou. At least both of my girls are at the same tournaments. Of course they won't be at the same venues but what's new about that. LOL Just found out that my u13 girl will be playing at the TSC complex at North Mount Carmel in McDonough for the Norcross Nike Cup. Tell me again how that's a Norcross tourney?!!! Last year they played at Allen Creek in Gainesville.

Last year they played at Allen Creek in Gainesville. We were stuck at TSC for the Nike Cup last year. It's such a huge tournament that they have to use a lot of parks. Since it's also a college showcase tournament, I would imagine that most of the older teams in the higher divisions would want to be more central to Norcross/Atlanta area for the college coaches to watch.

yea, almost 600 teams in Nike Cup, no other option but to spread them out across the city. its a quality tournament for all ages.

Only issue I have is that 5 out of the 8 teams in our bracket are in our Classic division this season. Would be nice if they took a little time to try and mix the teams up a little more. I know it depends on team strength, record, requested bracket, etc., but as an example...one of the teams in our bracket could easily be switched with one from the bracket above us.

Aren't GSA and TYSA one club now? Why do they have the Triumph Cup and the GSA tournament? I wonder if they were reluctant to make too many changes in their first year together (and probably didn't want to give up the revenue that a tournament provides).
