I would like to personally thank US soccer for making a tryouts even a more difficult time then they have ever been.
Between the (not all US soccer's fault....): Age Mandate Adding u12 DA Adding u13 DA Atlanta United Ga United "giving" up u16s/u18s Did I say age mandate RPL teams from the year before that were earned by different teams - impact still being felt Tophat/NASA merger ECNL clubs
In all seriousness though, how did the smaller clubs make out? Age mandate put a hurt on one club, bad..... very bad.....

Guess it worked out at Chiefs, this year they will be declaring the most select teams they have ever had.

My daughter had to leave a small club. Numbers were not there. Her coach, who previously recruited her there, was fantastic and got her re-energized about the game, actually left to join a big club too.
My daughter went back to a former club who had made some changes that we liked and looks like is going to be a very good situation for her. The small club she left though was hit pretty hard. Lost quite a few 00's, 01's, and 02's. Most to the big clubs. They still have enough to field teams in the u16 & u17 age group but they will not be nearly as competitive. Not enough players to field a u15 squad.
