Surprised its taken so long. www.eliteclubsnationalleague.com/?p=4202ECNL Welcomes Tennessee SC as Member Club in 2017 August 22, 2016 RICHMOND, VA (August 22, 2016) – The Elite Clubs National League is excited to announce that Tennessee SC will be joining the ECNL beginning in the 2017-2018 ECNL Season as a new member club. The ECNL will be the only national league in which the club will compete, and the focal point of its competitive efforts.

The quality of the three clubs ECNL have added over the past month is very high. Good on them. I also kind of expect ECNL to have the girls program be organized like the boys program in the future (i.e. integrating with NPL), but we will see.
Interesting that in Northern Cali the ECNL clubs that have also accepted GDA are forming alliances (e.g., San Juan and Davis Legacy announced they will have combined DA teams) rather than trying to go it alone. This way they will be able to do both leagues and still have reasonable teams in both leagues. Of course, if many clubs do alliances travel is going to get pretty extensive. But the alliance approach makes sense if GDA is going to be for the best of the best. I wonder if some of the Florida clubs will take that same approach? ECNL already hinted some time ago (in a Soccerwire piece on the boys league of all places) that only the very largest clubs would stay in ECNL if they went the GDA route. I just can't imagine many clubs being able to do both leagues, by themselves, and maintain a decent level of competitiveness in both leagues.

I think that's 42 ECNL clubs involved with DA.
Our high school has 5 ecnl players at affected clubs, if they play Girls DA next year we probably won't be able to field a girls team.
