So all these "teams" are now being added to ECNL to replace/offset the girls DA. Did UFA not also apply for ECNL? Not having ECNL or GDA for girls next year could be a killer for the club on the girls side which already is constantly losing top quality player after player.
Say what you want, but RPL is not in anyway shape or form the equivalent of ECNL or the future girls DA.
Time for UFA leadership to stop worrying about gobbling up every club but rather focus on your current player pool and its future. Its tough though, when one of them coaches 2 teams, travels a lot and isn't involved with the boys side.
We probably need a separate thread on the role and responsibility of the executive directors and director of soccer.

Last I checked, UFA had 4 Directors, and one of them doesn't coach any teams anymore.
Seems to me, you have an issue with one in particular

Is it possible that there is a grand plan that the directors are not communicating to the parents/public? I don't get involved with the high-level stuff but did hear from a coach that two coaches on the boys side are working on getting licenses to be able to coach DA. No idea if that's for boys or girls DA or even that they will stay to coach DA at UFA vs. elsewhere. I can barely keep up with my own kid's team but you're right that it would be good to know what a club's long-term plans are so kids and parents can think ahead.

We probably need a separate thread on the role and responsibility of the executive directors and director of soccer. A few things 1- Teams aren't added to ECNL - Clubs are. 2- There are some very good and very weak teams in both ECNL and RPL so your blanket statement is too vague and broad brushed to be accurate. 3- If you have an issue with your club address it there. Not sure what kind of discussion you are wanting but UFA isn't the only club in the metro area without ECNL or DA but we aren't all going to quit or move just to chase those carrots. I for one am very happy where my kid is playng and with her coach. No ECNL/DA needed for us! Sorry just not sure what your point or expectations are with your post.

Of course there is something going on behind closed doors, as I'm sure it happens at every club. This doesn't need to be communicated to everyone until things are set in stone. if the OP has an issue with the club or a particular coach, seems to me that they should address it directly with them?

No club is perfect, and I'm sure many clubs are trying to figure out where they fit in under the current and future landscape - from both a player and financial perspective.

No one seems to be concerned with the quality of the soccer that they play, just the quality of the league that their team is in.

....or, possibly some clubs may be able to bring soccer to share with communities that don't have much access to what we have in this metropolitan area.

I wonder if its a former UFA coach that started a small club up there? Was it a formal club under a different name? Is it a completely new entity? Looks like they currently just offer a rec program with very affordable prices.

So whats the inside scoop? Whats the company line? Its probably just all about getting brand recognition, aka Rush.
I don't have an issue with club expansion etc at this level, the club "investing" in the silver backs is another story....

There are small clubs that need to be affiliated with bigger clubs in order to be able to participate in certain tournaments because they're not recognized by their state entities. Every UFA location runs on its own and have their own budget, they make their own $$ and spend their own $$. They didn't invest in the Silverbacks. UFA runs the administrative portion of the Silverbacks, they didn't put any money into it.

Just out of curiosity soccermom do any UFA (Forsyth) players practice out of or have Home games out of Pinckneyville, or Rhodes Jordan, or any other Gwinnett County Parks?
