Interesting they brought in a Gareth disciple from Clayton State. Guessing no one new wanted to walk into that dumpster fire.

They had some good U9 and U10 boys teams in a tournament that I was at recently. I don't think they'd call themselves a dumpster fire but maybe it's a new Chiefs recruiting slogan .

Oh no. It's a dumpster fire, I mean they do have some great and solid coaches at the moment but until a majority of those old board members resign nothing is going to change. They'll be like Inter Atl, decent and solid academy teams but a lot players and coaches leave by the time they hit U13 and up.

TYSA seems to have turned into a Rec program at the Select level. They do have a lot of people listed on their board of directors page on their website and it seems kind of odd to have a "Director of Branding" at a club that has three Select teams this fall, up from two last fall.

At least they are going back to their roots and providing a service to their local community. The merger was bad, best players were absorbed by gsa teams. They have learned from it and time to move forward and focus on the kids ya have.

My kids have played against TYSA several times over the years. Mostly the games were at Granite Park but a few at Henderson. Particularly at Henderson I thought there was a great community atmosphere. If they have as many young rec players as they seem to have, they should be able to build academy up relatively quickly. I get the impression that rec programs at nearby clubs are pretty minimal. If TYSA can keep the rec program strong and build academy and select back up, kudos to them for being able to serve all different levels.
