Wynalda doesn't think Bedoya is good enough to be a starter for the national team, and it's his job to say so. Bedoya took it personally.

Bedoya has made a living being the hardest worker on the field. It has served him well. And I admire his willingness to run until he can't run any more. There are lots of young players who could usefully follow his example (a AUFC homegrown for example). That being said, I agree with Wynalda. There must be players who will work as hard but have better skill sets and high soccer IQs. We have a giant country.

No question Bedoya needs to keep his mouth shut on this one. Needs to step away from the keyboard after games and not respond to the media and US soccer should be teaching these guys that. None of us would have even heard this story if he hadn't responded. The original tweet isn't even that bad. here they are in order:
