Clubs and internal ID sessions?
Are these just for show to say we did them etc.
Isn't every day at practice an ID session, isn't every game an ID session. In my opinion, that is when players should be evaluated, not during ID sessions or tryouts etc.

Internal ID sessions? Our club didn't do these. Is there a fee for them?
Tryouts are necessary though, to bring people in from outside.

Our club is doing them this year before the main DA tryouts. No fee that I know of. I think these sessions will bring together kids from different top teams within the club (for example RPL and Classic 1 or 2) to be evaluated by various coaches to help plan placement of the players for the following year. Next year's DA coach for a certain age group may not be familiar with kids already in the club, and I'm guessing having internal ID sessions at least gives the appearance that current kids may have an advantage by getting an earlier look. (Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part!) It will also give coaches a chance to see how different kids play together even though they might not be on the same team right now. That's my impression of it all anyway .

Remember, DA is adopting birth year for the upcoming season, unlike all else that matters in Georgia that started it for 2016/2017. Lots of familiar player faces but moving around the age group dial. Probably more important for u12 & u13 DA, as both will be starting from scratch.

In addition to all the other suggestions and comments above, one DOC I spoke with says they do this to guage an interest from within the club also. On another note, does anyone know when these are for the various DA clubs?

I heard ATlUTD will have a session (just rumor) 1 week before all the other DA programs. Out of respect so no surprises at tryouts.
Concorde usually has an open ID for those interested before regular tryouts. I know last year several clubs did it before tryouts and even started to offer spots at that time.
The DA age groups ave already been adapted. Some DA's had a mix of 04/05 because of lack of player pool for 04's. Hard to find 164 real good 04 players.

Does anyone know specifically when and where CF and UFA are having their ID Sessions?
