No hope!?! There is always hope! True - but hope is not a strategy - in life or in soccer!

Indeed, there is always hope. The reality of it is that this is a really tough draw for the US. The three tough groups are groups B, D and G. I think the U.S. will play tough, but after a while, the talent will pull apart. Against Portugal, Ronaldo will run circles around the U.S. Against Germany, maybe the only good thing is that Coach Jurgen Klinsmann might have an idea what they will do. But stopping them will be a different ball game, the actual execution of his plan will be hard. Germany has too much talent. And against Ghana, it will not be easy. And football is not about economic or political power, it is about eleven guys on the pitch. In that regard, the US cannot match Ghana with its solid midfield, talented attackers and a very disciplined defense. In fact, this Ghana team is better than the 2010 team that went all the way to the Quarter Finals and had that unfortunate loss due to Luis Suarez and his handball. Very tough draw for the U.S. However I trust that they will not be embarrassed - they will do well – even if they lose all their matches but remain competitive, that will be a good thing.
