This topic was discussed in the past, but wanted to bring it back up as the DA season is getting ready to crank up. My guess is most clubs are not aware of the expectation for playing time at u13. US soccer expects clubs to follow their suggestions and evaluates them on these expectations (from what I've been told). Do clubs follow them, probably not--- The only rule when you ask most staff that they are aware of is the 25% start rule, few are aware of the next sentence about playing time expectation at the u13 age group. Its a suggestion but also an expectation -- page 12, item a: Suggested Playing Time Recommendations for U-12 and U-13: At the U-12 age group, coaches are expected to play each player 50% of the minutes for every game. For the U-13 age group, players are expected to play a minimum of 50% of game minutes per month, as part of the individual player development plan. ussoccer.app.box.com/s/38y02zvnb19bdzjmesn6k5t9zonsl97s

Ok so here's a question, are DA players considered Ga Soccer players? or are they different like ECNL/US Club players are? I ask because if they are under the GA Soccer umbrella then don't they have to fall under this rule from GA Soccer too?
530.3f Select: Each eligible player must play a minimum of half a match, if he/she meets reasonable practice participation requirements set by their club/association. For 15U and older teams, this will not apply at the Classic I and Athena A levels.
