That analysis lessens some of my slightly negative feelings about the booing of altidore and bradley last night at the Atlanta United game. Initially I was down on the idea but I warmed to it for a variety of reasons. Two things make me feel like it was actually OK, and while not great for those two, maybe healthy for US Soccer overall:
1) that analysis 2) Altidore's reaction when he scored a goal. If he'd performed against T&T like he did against AUFC he wouldn't have been booed. Sad that he didn't get that point.

Altidore can only score against CONCACAF teams, can't do it when it really counts.

Yea, I saw this twitter thread before last nights game, so when folks were booing, I thought it was kind of funny given what was highlighted. yes it is definitely was disrespectful given the years both have committed to US soccer. It shows people care and are passionate, and its relatively harmless manner of showing ones disapproval.
Bradley is interesting, sits way to deep and did it last night. He doesn't make many mistakes, but really when you watch him last night, hes not very active. He does play some nice big balls though. But not sure if they are nicer than Gressel. Gressel, hit a few nice balls that were insane. Love that guy (there was a twitter post on friday about him and college, will post soon, haven't even opened it). Did I say I love Gressel yet?
Jozy's goal that was called back for being off, was a really impressive piece of skill, not sure why he doesn't show that more often. He also had some great settles of big balls played in the box. He settled one off his chest like it was nothing.
I really recommend folks look at that tweet, its eye opening! Was going to post it as well. Omar wow, Omar. I'd take Larentowicz or Parkhurst over him any day of the freaking week!
Also first time I've seen them in person -- both are big boys!

First of all, it was a garbage goal, more due to breakdown between Parkhurst and Guzan than any skill by Altidore. And he celebrated like that, it disgusted me. I was never one of those people who hated Altidore but after seeing that, I never want him to appear in a U.S. jersey again. I wish the ball boy who was standing near him when had shouted "why couldn't you do that against Trinidad & Tobago?"

I’m so glad I got to watch this Twitter feed before the game last night. I participated and explained to my 7 year old son why because we don’t do that sort of thing. I think Bradley and Altidore deserved those boo’s even if they were our opponent. I think they got exactly why and not because they were Toronto. So, hopefully this pressure changes the mindset of playing for your country! However, it might be Bradley and Altidore’s last attempt for the World Cup anyway.
