Either the new director wants to start off with a bang, or the executive committee has decided to become more efficient...Georgia Soccer has posted on their calendar the dates for when brackets and schedules will be released to the clubs and public, with the final schedules being released mid-February. There are even late fines - although they aren't the same. I think Ga Soccer should pay the clubs if they don't meet the Feb 14 schedule release date!
Jan 15: U10-U14 Athena and Classic registrations and team declarations due with minimum of 11 players assigned. Division placement will be based on roster submitted at this time. Any declaration received after this date will incur a $250.00 fine per team. (I think this is a mistype...probably should be U13-U14).
Jan 20: U13-U14 Select Team Brackets Released - Late declarations or roster changes that would affect original placement - $500.00 fine per team.
Jan 26: Spring Brackets Finalized and Locked– Brackets Locked. Late declarations or roster changes that would affect original placement - $1000.00 fine per team.
Jan 31: U13-U14 Athena and Classic Spring 2014 schedules released to clubs for time and field assignments. Any team dropping from the schedule after this date - $500.00 fine per team.
Feb 14: U13-U14 Athena and Classic Spring 2014 Schedules released to public website.
Any team managers out here...let us know what your brackets look like!

Their office is closed today - January 20 - how will they release the brackets if they're closed?
Regardless - big kudos for the accelerated timeline. Getting the schedules in mid February as opposed to the week before play is scheduled to start - AWESOME!!!

Nothing is showing yet when I sign in as TM. The description on the GA Soccer website says released to the teams. The next date for January 26th shows that they are final, locked, and released. I'm thinking we won't be able to see them until then.

Logging in as TM it appears BU14 have been released, no 13's or girls. Strange thing is it doesn't appear any of the CL Champions or finalist were promoted, RPL teams are gone...anyone else see that or am i missing something?

RPL teams will show under that tab on the main Schedules page not under Athena/Classic. They have a totally different schedule and bracket outside of GA Soccer. If you're not seeing the promotions, it's not the new bracket yet. They tend to pull out RPL first then after the rosters/applications are presented, will do the promotions or relegations as necessary. It's not as simple as 'top two move up; bottom two move down' - some clubs will fold completely and they have to fill the brackets as they lose clubs. You'll get the official email from GA Soccer when the brackets are complete and ready for viewing. |

This morning right before i posted, actually i was using my Club Admin login, not my team login, when logged in go to "Assign Game Schedule" tab on left, choose "Spring 2014 Athena and Classic" in Tournament/Gaming drop down, then under Reports drop down choose "Accepted Applications". It is were I looked at in the Fall before brackets were released to the public and it was correct then.

spectator, just checked and nothing new, I will post up what I see if anything is posted before emails from GA soccer go out. Today was GA Soccer's deadline according to an earlier email i believe?

Checked earlier and I see U13 girls now as well, same as with the U14 boys though, they have not adjusted the brackets with promotions and relegations. Still no U14 girls or U13 boys but at this point not sure it matters as nothing seems to have changed from the Fall? I guess we will find out in the next 3 days, if they can get back on their own schedule.

No sleep at all. Started on Peachtree at Lenox at 1:30 pm made it down to Roswell Road where Johnny's Hideaway is by 11pm - I joked that he should at least go in but it was closed. He hung out at a Waffle House for an hour - said it was an 'interesting life experience' to be stranded with strangers. By 3am, cars started moving on Roswell Road and he was able to get to his parents house by 5am. He's still there - safe, dry, but antsy to get home.
That's not the worst story - a co-worker left at 1 yesterday and didn't get home until 10am. She was on the interstate trapped for hours. Another co-worker spun out and a couple stopped to help her and offered her their spare room rather than her freezing in her car or waiting at a gas station.
Our state and city governments failed us all yesterday -but the people of metro Atlanta rose up and took care of each other. Go on Facebook to SnowedOutAtlanta and read some of the amazing stories of kindness. Hope those don't melt away tomorrow when all this mess is finally gone, too.

Hi Spectator and all,
I saw on the website that schedules were to be released to the clubs today-- not to the public. Shouldn't that mean, though, that brackets are set? At this point, is there a way to find out what they are? I couldn't find them. I'm interested in U13 girls as well.
Glad to hear your hubby found refuge! Mine works in Midtown and miraculously made it home in 8 hours. Guess he was one of the lucky ones!

I do not see anything using my TM login but under my admin I see schedules for CL 1-6 for BU13 and GU13 ATH F only, hopefully more to come tomorrow.

Hoping someone could post brackets out here just to see where the promotions/relegations landed and who we will be playing this season. |
