A local team is looking for your expertise. Seeking help from a GK coach. If you played keeper in college and always wanted to assist, here is your chance. Just need some assistance 1x per 2 weeks. Volunteer, no pay. Practice is during the week at a downtown location, and every other SAT until March 1.

ALSO
This new school needs JV friendlies. And yes, I have worked the phones, emails, etc. for nearly 3 months. It's a smaller GISA school but with talented boys on the JV team. Most schools don't have JV at the lower level of GISA. Only have been able to get 3 games versus smaller 1A schools.
If you have a solid lead, know a coach, are a coach in metro Atlanta the team will travel to you.

If you need help getting JV games why don’t you reach out to some of the local clubs. I’m sure there’s quite a few ‘03 teams looking to get some games in.

We have. Problems aplenty - games are during the week for the school (transportation issues). We've gone that route and have one game. Older age groups don't play spring as you know. Not done being told no however.

Not sure what rules are in place now but it used to be high school teams were not allowed to play club teams, even if it was a preseason friendly.

Any leads, suggestions on opponents for a scrimmage or friendly, or help with GK will be helpful.
That's why I am here. So the goal is to get games - if you can help send along a message via this forum

Or what about a planned scrimmage with refs? Just curious because I know a HS that has JV scrimmages scheduled with his clubs teams.

GISA/GHSA won't count those are "real" games but I can assure you that the boys (or girls) playing that game/friendly/scrimmage will consider it a real game regardless. At least from the Varsity or JV perspective.

Its my understanding that its against the rules, even if its friendly. It would be considered a non sanctioned event under GHSA and the schools would have huge liability if someone were to get hurt.

Oh yeah if you do everything but the paperwork then to the players it’s always a game. I was just curious because one of my club players playing JV for a very well known Gwinnett HS program is playing her HS coach’s club team in a scrimmage. But this HS/Club Coach is known to break/bend the rules a lot so nothing new there.

Liability for ... what? Injuries happen all across Georgia in sports every day. The injury would have to be linked to some type of unsafe field condition. If a player tears up an ankle there can be medical payments coverages for that. So please explain the "huge liability"

And the thread keeps veering off of my pretty direct request.
Need a GK coach, need games. Anyone? Bueller?
