Do we play in tourneys this weekend?? does the rain stay way

Problem will be how much rain comes prior to Saturday. If the fields are saturated, tournaments will be cancelled. Right now the Weather Channel has rain chance today, 40% tomorrow and 20% thurs and fri. 50% Saturday.
Also depends on what fields - Cobb will close parks in a heartbeat.

We seem to be in a permanent rinse cycle for the past year at least so I plan on a thorough soaking if they are calling for the slightest sprinkle. Take today for example...called for light drizzle. We got several downpours and a good soaking rain pretty much the whole afternoon. The ground is so soft that anytime I step in grass I sink in an inch or so. Forecast doesn't look good at all but it depends on drainage at the fields. My youngest is at the Lanier tourney at Allen Creek and I think their fields drain pretty good. My oldest is at Noonday Fields...or Noonday Lake depending on the rainfall this week.

The forecast looks much better this morning. Supposedly rain goes away this morning and stays away through the weekend. Hopefully that holds true!

The forecast is now showing rain Saturday & Sunday! :-( Both kids at SSA tournament, hopefully we can play all weekend...last year they cancelled the sunday games

Cobb closed Noonday for the weekend. SSA has to reshuffle all those games.

Cobb closed Noonday for the weekend. SSA has to reshuffle all those games. Yep...big pain in the butt for us. Older kid had all 3 games at Noonday. Now...1st game in Douglasville at Boundary Waters Park, next game at OC Hubert in Acworth and then Sunday at Mud Creek in Kennesaw. Got to love tourneys! Youngest has all games at Allen Creek in the Lanier tourney. Her 2nd game just got rescheduled to a night game at 6:40pm. Might make it from Acworth but it's going to be a stretch. |

Weather actually was pretty good for a February tourney. It was chilly when the clouds were out but it was almost short sleeve weather when the sun popped out. Today looks to be maybe even better. Safe travels to all!
